Paula Maclan, Ph.D.
I enjoy working with people who are motivated to do the work necessary in order to achieve the changes that they want to make in their lives. I’ve worked treating children and adults (ages 3 and up); I see the therapeutic process as a joint venture as we tackle the most salient issues folks struggle with. I look forward to hearing from those individuals who are eager to work toward bettering their lives.
I’ve treated children and families who experienced child sexual abuse, have lived through tornadoes, parents who have lost a child in young adulthood, teens with significant depression or anxiety, first responders diagnosed with PTSD, children whose parents are going through or have had a divorce, and older adults who are dealing with the aging process.
I offer a non-judgmental environment where you can explore your feelings while I bear witness to your experience and help you find solutions that are right for you. I use talk therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), and tailor interventions to your needs and goals, using an eclectic approach that focuses on your strengths.
