Dr. Carson is a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist and has been in practice for over 20 years. She provides individual psychotherapy as well as neuropsychological evaluations for adults of all ages.  

Dr. Carson has had a lifelong interest in the intersection of the mind and body, especially in the intersection between the neurological system and behavior. Her psychotherapy practice stems from cognitive behavioral therapy origins, with a focus on positive psychology. She helps individuals living with anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, complex PTSD, insomnia, and chronic illness. She also provides psychotherapy services for individuals living with functional neurological disorders, headache, chronic pain, and psychological symptoms related to medical conditions. Her goal is to help clients focus on their personal strengths and attributes to live their best lives.

Dr. Carson also provides neuropsychological evaluations for various conditions, including diagnosis of various dementias, aftereffects of concussion, stroke, brain injury, seizure, and cognitive effects of other medical conditions. In select cases, she may be able to provide this service to Spanish-speaking individuals.

Dr. Carson’s approach to service provision focuses on the value of a warm and compassionate relationship between the client and the psychologist to allow for effective intervention. She believes in the value of living a full life to realize the potential of every person.
