Dr. Jack Tracy has been in private practice since 2010. He attended East Central University in Ada, OK where he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology. From there he attended the University of Oklahoma where he worked on and achieved a M.Ed. in community counsel in 2005. He then pursued a Ph.D. in counseling psychology and graduated in 2009 from the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Tracy spent a year in Murfreesboro, TN from 2008-2009 for his predoctoral internship at a community mental health center, The Guidance Center. At The Guidance Center he worked with a diverse population and gained experience working with adults, couples, and children.
Dr. Tracy has been involved in the sport of running for most of his life. He maintains an active lifestyle through running as well as various other outdoor pursuits and hobbies. He believes that the discipline of consistent physical exercise is important to achieving mental health. This belief is founded in research as consistent aerobic exercise has been shown to improve mental health when it comes to stress reduction, anxiety and depression.
Dr. Tracy helps his clients achieve personal progress and mental health by helping them identify individual problem areas and working together to come up with a set of goals that will serve as a guide during therapy.
